Council Commissions
The commission structure was set forth in the Documents of Vatican II "Decree on the Apostolate of the Laity," Chapter 3, Section 9, 18 and 19.
Church Through scripture, prayer, study, holy hours, days of recollection and special liturgies, we encourage and educate all ages to form a community of God's people that helps to make the kingdom of God more visible in our world.
Family Encourages families to live a Catholic life according to Gospel values. Promote "the Seamless Garment" philosophy concerning all life issues.
Community Promotes involvement in the needs of all citizens in the broader community, i.e., health, housing, rural life, environmental concerns, etc.

International Through Catholic Relief Services, support Madonna Plan, which includes mother/child clinics, Water-for-Life, micro-loans and education for women and girls in developing countries. Other issues that are addressed: Refugee Women's Protection, ban land mines, trafficking in human persons and support of United Nations' projects.
Legislation Informs member of current legislative initiatives, locally and nationally, that impact the lives and welfare of our people with attention to upholding Catholic teachings in accordance with the Holy Father, the National Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Colorado Catholic Conference.
Organization Offers leadership skills, protocol procedures, writing reports, minutes and communication directives, training in development of publicity, motivation and outreach to new members. |
