The Archdiocesan Council is divided into six areas: East Denver, West Denver, Northern, Northeast-Fort Morgan, Northeast-Sterling and the Western Slope. The Council of Catholic Women is governed by an Executive Board, which consists of the elected officers of the Archdiocesan Council, and Presidents of the Area Councils. The General Board consists of members of the Executive Board, Commission and Committee Chairs and Interparochial Representatives. The Council is a member of the Province of Denver, which includes the Archdiocese of Denver, Dioceses of Cheyenne, Colorado Springs and Pueblo.

The Province Director is appointed by her respective Bishop for a two year term. This office is rotated among the dioceses. She represents the Province on the Board of Directors of the National Council of Catholic Women in Washington, D.C.

The Council invites all ethnic groups, including but not limited to Asian American, African American, Hispanic and Native American women to full participation in the Council.
